This session will focus on financial abuse and exploitation of those with developmental disabilities. A video will model real world examples of situations people may experience being exploited and controlled through the means of money or property. It will also show how we and those we support can identify situations of financial abuse and provide help using trauma-informed practices. The course will focus on empowering attorneys to be able to identify possible red flags and what they can do when they feel something is not right.
